Vic; Man runover by train ecapees unharmed
MELBOURNE, Feb 1 AAP - A 47-year-old man run over by a train had a miraculous escape
in Melbourne today.
The man was lying on the tracks near the Balaclava railway station in Melbourne's south-eastern
suburbs, about 12.30am when the outbound train entered the station.
Police said the train driver saw the man on the track but was unable to stop the train
in time as the engine and carriages passed over him.
The man was taken by ambulance to Alfred Hospital but was later released with no serious
injuries.
Police are unsure what the man was doing lying on the tracks.
